It's official. My brother's wife gave birth at 4:30 this morning to a healthy baby boy. Everyone is doing well. More details and pictures when I have them.
My baby brother is a father. Bizarre. He's going to be an amazing dad...
Posted by cari at May 14, 2005 08:08 AMCONGRATULATIONS! TO ALL AND SUNDRY! How exciting.
Posted by: valentinaAfter a nephew, a niece and another nephew four weeks ago, I can honestly say, unequivocally, there is NOTHING better than being an Aunt. Nothing.
Congratulations - enjoy hugging and kissing and loving and spoiling that little boy to bits. Can't wait to see pictures.
Posted by: Caracongratulations Aunt Cari!
Posted by: jackieCongratulations! i vaguely remember what that is like. my first nephew was born when i was 9 and although he is 26 now - we are still great mates. i am expecting to be a great aunt in the next few years! how scarey is that.
I can't wait to see pics of you and the little fella.
Posted by: JacquelineCool! I think I'd really like being an aunt, but it's highly unlikely to happen... my brother's not all that social.
Posted by: AndreaAnother baby, yay! Did you get the blanket finished? hehe
Posted by: VickiCongrats!
Posted by: GinaCongratulation, I'm so glad everything turned out for the best. Have fun being an aunt.

Posted by: JessicaAunt Cari, that has a nice ring to it. Congrats!
Posted by: sarahfantastic news! hope everyone is doing well. your brother will be a wonderful father, and you will be a fantastic aunt!
Posted by: RebeccaCongratulations! I absolutely love being an aunt--you get to play and to spoil and then to send them home. Fun for everyone! (Although, it's prudent to keep a cap on the spoiling . . . unlike grandparents, aunts have not earned the right to spoil their sibling's kids, and there's always the [theoretical] chance of revenge if you go too far, like, buying that set of drums . . .)
Posted by: DebCongratulations to your family, Aunt Cari!
Posted by: JeniMazel tov!!! Not only will you be an awesome aunt, but you will no doubt be the baby's coolest relative. While they may not be of much consequence now, just wait until you start taking him to rock shows. Huge congratulations. Glad everyone is well. Xxxx.
Posted by: reginaHooray! Congratulations, Aunt Cari!

Posted by: Lee AnneI can't get over it. Your "little baby" brother is a father. It was just yesterday that he was playing video games all day and trying his best to annoy his big (actually, little) goth sis.
CONGRATULATIONS!
