Koigu? Did I say Koigu?

Because I meant Fleece Artist. So there I was, standing in front of my stash, wondering how I could justify a purchase of semi-solid Koigu for these mittens, when I spotted two skeins of Fleece Artist Merino in perfect Cari Mitten colors.

Saffron for the main color, red for the contrast. 100% Merino goodness, and 100% from the stash.

Way to go, shopping the stash! 2 hours ago I was standing in front of the largest wall of Koigu I've ever seen, wondering how I could justify a purchase. Your post has helped me find the reason, because I've been coveting those mittens too! Thanks for the long distance enabling!

I lust for those mittens as well, and you picked fabby colors. IMHO, Fleece artist ranks right up there with the Koigu anyway! Can't wait to see them!!

those will be lovely. and if you accidentally make them to fit my fingers, that's fine too. i have done nothing but lust after those mittens ever since she put the damn pattern up. :)

100% wonderful.

(and 100% something I should add to my "to do" list....) a baby's version would be lovely too...

Stash is a wonderful thing.

Lovely! Can't waint to see the mittens.

I love those colors, but it's a good thing the mittens aren't striped, cause they make me think of McDonald's.

Mmmmmmmmmm. Gorgeous colors...perfect for those mittens!

Excellent choice.

What Rachel said. Sorry, it's been a really long day, and i am fresh out of original thoughts. xo

In those colors, I'm going to like your mittens more than the originals, no doubt. Gorgeous. I love fleece artist. Yum.

Mmm. Drool.... Fleece Artist......Lovely colors, Perfect for you!

Posted by: Julia

Those colors are glorious! What fabulous mittens they will make!

Great, thanks, now I have yet another new pattern calling my name. And I'll have to find different colors for mine so we won't be mitten-twins. That's going to be a problem. (Can we un-capitalize fleece artist too? water, air, chocolate, fleece artist? Just saying.)

Whoa-oa-oa-oahhhh! I bought the pattern. Thanks for the link. And I just happen to have two solid (k)oigus in my stash that will work. Of course, I have to get over my fear of stranded knitting first. Minor detail. Man, those are gorgeous!

great choices! those'll be some fabulous mittens!

Good call on the Fleece Artist. In fact, I have some in my stash that would look really, really good in that pattern... (btw - your FA colors? To die for.)

Posted by: Kristin

Kismet! That's when you know something was meant to be. They'll be beautiful.

oooh, pretty colors! Your stash shopping has inspired me to do some stash shopping. We tend to forget some of the yarny goodness we already have right there in our stashes.

Its fate.

I really hope Thumper gives you the time to work on those mittens, because I desperately want to see them in those colors! Fabulous!

How could your fingers not be toasty inside mittens in those colors! Perfect!

Posted by: Jenn

Those will be awesome!

Posted by: alison

Oh, great color choices! I love it when you shop the stash and find something so perfect for a pattern you just have to make right this very second. Can't wait to see them!

Posted by: Karen

And hair to match?

Posted by: Alison

Looks like you have a winner there :-) And the mittens are truely devine. I have the pattern, too and I am need of yarn. I wasn't so successful in my stash.

Posted by: Petra

I am looking forward to seeing your mittens in progress. The Saffron is so yummy!

Posted by: Knittripps

Ooh, I can't WAIT to see them done!!! I love those mittens! I actually think they'd be good for a man, too, if knit in black and grey or some other sort of manly combo (which, sadly, with the men in my life consists primarily of black and grey with a sprinkling of hunter and navy...)

;)

oh you choose such pretty colours... :)

My gosh, this yarn is awesome (especially the orange one, yummy! ;) The mittens are going to be real beauties, that's for sure!

*whew*

For a second there I thought someone had scalped you and spun your hair into yarn.

Thank god it's just merino.
