One front left to seam, then the button loops (and choosing buttons), one more wash, and my Sunrise Circle Jacket will be finished. It's already my new favorite knitted thing ever. It fits far better than any previously knit sweater, and I can tell I'm going to wear it to death. Kate, I love you.

My mom was here today to hang out with Thumper while I got some freelance work done, and a minor miracle occured. My mother never asks for anything. Never. And she saw the Sunrise Circle Jacket, tried it on, loved it, and said she'd like to have one. I couldn't be more thrilled. My mom does so much for us, and finally there's something concrete that she wants, that I can make for her. So added to the To Be Knit list is one more Sunrise Circle Jacket, to be completed for her birthday in September.

Sunrise is on my list too. My Mom is a bit of the opposite problem. She wants everything and if I catch her stuffing something into her purse (or walking out the door with it on) then she asks if I'll make her one too. She does buy all the materials but my life from here on out could be spent making her things. And she lives in AZ so she can't wear any of it!

It looks great! I have the pattern (free, of course) and the yarn. My only question is about sizing -- did you go up/down? How does it fit?

I'm really interested as to how the jacket fits over your breastfeeding bust. From the pictures of the jacket I've seen online, it doesn't look particularly easy to add length or breath to cover the bust without sizing the waist and possibly the shoulders/back up as well. Maybe this is just a pattern that I should avoid. :)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! This sweater is on my to-knit list but I was worried about my level of experience (I'm an 'adv. beginner' but just returning to knitting after years of grad school hermit life). I'd love it if you posted details about the process when you're all done -- e.g. and tough parts in the pattern or time/sanity-saving tips. Beautiful sweater oh and Beautiful baby too :-)
